The beach that lies along the coast of Dubai is the favourite among locals and tourists to spend their time enjoying the year-long Dubai sun. Most people enjoy sunbathing and other water activities such as surfing, kayaking, or playing some jet-ski.

Jogging tracks

One of the many food vendors along the beach!

The beach also features a 10-km long jogging track to those of you wishing to exercise under a breath-taking view. Foodies are welcome to indulge your meals with the view of the ocean, from one of the food trucks along the beach, which offers a range of meals on a reasonable price.

If you’re more of the tourist like myself, don’t forget taking a picture of yourself with the background of Burj Al Arab, one of the few 7-star hotel in the world.

Originated from the word “Souk” which means traditional market, the Dubai Gold Souk is the world’s largest gold retail centre. Consisting more than 300 different shops, from local stores to well established retailers are available in the compound.

It is said that at any present day, at least ten tonnes of gold are present in the souk.

There are digital displays organized by the local city council, informing customers of the average market gold price of the day to avoid any scams.

A must-take photo when you were in the Gold Souk

The Gold Souk is within reach by Deira bus stand, or alternatively it is reachable by taking the local boat, also known as Abra from Al Ghubaiba metro station.

Welcome to the home of the Emirates Group!

A bit of history of how Emirates started roaming the skies!

A model of the airline's future backbone, the B777-9X

Situated in the Dubai Airport complex, the Emirates Group Headquarters is the heart of Emirates Group operation. Other than the award-winning international airline, the group also ventures on relevant sectors such as ground-handling, hotel & leisure, amongst other businesses.

In this building, also lies the operational command of Emirates. It has one objective, ensuring the airline with more than 230 aircraft and serving 135 destinations worldwide, running smoothly and safely. If you have watched the series “Ultimate Airport Dubai” before, the scenes where operations control making decisions on aircraft dispatch, diversions, and other technical issues were made on the 7th floor of the very same building. Cabin crew trainees also spent quite some time learning on this building.

Getting the front row seat of Emirates operation in Terminal 3 Dubai, just like in the show "Ultimate Airport Dubai".

The building is conveniently connected with the Dubai Metro system, allowing members of active duty crew to assemble on this building around 120 minutes prior to departure, to receive pre-flight briefing, safety and grooming checks. They were then heading to the aircraft directly by bus (separate of the departing passengers) approximately 70 minutes before scheduled take-off time. Alternatively, crew members arrive on a pick-up company shuttle or their personal vehicles.

The headquarters is also home to the Emirates Official Store selling the airline’s merchandise (another branch was the Dubai Mall), and a coffee shop with the unlimited view of Emirates fleet operations at Dubai Terminal 3.
