Finding an accommodation with convenient location and a reasonable price in Singapore can seem impossible. Especially when you are scheduled for a 24 hours stay with a packed schedule, location can seem like everything.

On my searches for hotel, I stumbled upon Days Hotel. Opened about four years ago, it is relatively a recent addition to Singapore's hotel portfolio. For approximately SGD120 a night, the hotel is located in the Balestier area, with Novena Station being the closest MRT access to this hotel.

As a hotel guest, you are entitled to complimentary shuttle bus services that leaves every 30 minutes. Alternatively, the MRT station is reachable within a 20 minutes walk through Irrawady Road, or you can use a public bus to either Novena or Toa Payoh MRT stations from the bus stop opposite the hotel.

The standard room we were staying in was a cosy, cheerfully themed blue color 18-square metres room. Being in an immaculate condition it was, the queen bed was comfortable, with enough space for a desk to catch up some work, and a long sofa to watch the 40" flat cable TV. A mini fridge, electronic safe, and a hot water kettle comes with the room as well. The ensuite bathroom features a shower with all the standard hygiene amenities you'd expect from a hotel.

Certainly, it was more than enough for a night's stay!
